G8 Remote Switches

It is very easy and inexpensive to make your own. The parts are available at Radio Shack.
Their part number for the 1/8 th inch mono head phone type plug is 274-287, cost is $1.99.
This is the part to insert in the bottom of the G8. You also need to get
a momentary switch, I am not sure what the part
number is but as long as it is a momentary type with only 2 legs it should
work, since our circuit is only 3 volts and minimal amps. It probably shall cost you
less than $2.50. You can wire as many of the switches to the plug as you
like, as long as they are wired in parallel. I recommend you use
multi-strand copper wire as it is more flexible and stronger. The wire
can be as thin as telephone cord, but I do recommend
that you limit the length to a couple of feet or so.

A last point. Turn off the G8 before plugging in.
Remember that even with the remote switch the main blue button and all
other features work normally.
