There are 2 possible G8 Game Timer timing setups
for the booster draft picks. Both provide the following time allocations;
Draft Pick Timing

Option 1 allows for timing all 14 picks sequentially with a fixed time
limit, however since the G8 was only designed to accomodate 8 players
the first 7 pick periods must completely elapse before proceeding to
the next pick time period.
Option 2 allows for timing all 14 picks sequentially
and allows the option to skip to the next pick timing period without
having to wait for the complete time
period to elapse, however to do this the first 7 pick periods must be saved
in
memory A and the following 7 pick periods in memory B. After the first 7 are
completed it then is neccessary that the G8 is paused and memory B is selected
to continue with the other 7 pick periods.
Option 1.
Mode 1. Select 7 players. Select Mode 2 by pressing the MODE
key. Mode 2.
Select 15 sec. Select the seconds digits by pressing the CLOCK key
and then the + and - keys to alter.
Mode 3. Alter player
1 to one minute and 5 sec, since we want 40 sec for the 1st pick plus
25 sec for the 2nd.
Press the pause button for player 2 (think pick 2), alter to 60 sec.
(40 + 20)
Press the pause button for player 3 (pick 3), alter to 55 sec. ((35
+ 20)
Press the pause button for player 4 ( pick 4 ), alter to 50 sec. (35
+ 15)
Press the pause button for player 5 ( pick 5 ), alter to 45 sec. (30
+ 15)
Press the pause button for player 6 ( pick 6 ), alter to 40 sec. (30
+ 10)
Press the pause button for player 7 ( pick 7 ), alter to 35 sec.
(25 + 10) Mode 4. Select 40 sec
Mode 5. Player 8 ( pick 8 ) is now 40 sec.
Press the pause button for player 2 ( pick 9 ), alter to 40 sec. (remember
that although this is set to 40 sec, the time is 60 - 40 sec)
Press the pause button for player 3 ( pick 10 ), alter to 35 sec
Press the pause button for player 4 ( pick 11 ), alter to 35 sec
Press the pause button for player 5 ( pick 12 ), alter to 30 sec
Press the pause button for player 6 ( pick 13 ), alter to 30 sec
Press the pause button for player 7 ( pick 14 ), alter to 25 sec.
Skip Mode 6 and 7.
Mode 8. Select momory A or B by using the + key and then save all the
settings into it by pressing the CLOCK key. When ever you start a new
game just select the memory A or B were you saved the data and press
the large blue key. Now select Mode 0 and press the large blue key to
start the first pick.
Option 2.
Mode 1. Select 7 players (think first 7 picks)
Mode 2. Select 40 sec
Mode 3.
Press the pause button for player 2 ( pick 2 ), alter to 40 sec.
Press the pause button for player 3 ( pick 3 ), alter to 35 sec
Press the pause button for player 4 ( pick 4 ), alter to 35 sec
Press the pause button for player 5 ( pick 5 ), alter to 30 sec
Press the pause button for player 6 ( pick 6 ), alter to 30 sec
Press the pause button for player 7 ( pick 7 ), alter to 25 sec.
Skip Modes 4,5,6,7
Mode 8. Select A and save everything.
Skip Mode 9 and 0
Mode 1. 7 players should be indicated (think second 7 picks)
Mode 2. Will automatically be skipped.
Mode 3.
Alter player 1 ( pick 8 ) from 40 to 25 sec.
Press the pause button for player 2 ( pick 9 ), alter to 20 sec.
Press the pause button for player 3 ( pick 10 ), alter to 20 sec
Press the pause button for player 4 ( pick 11 ), alter to 15 sec
Press the pause button for player 5 ( pick 12 ), alter to 15 sec
Press the pause button for player 6 ( pick 13 ), alter to 10 sec
Press the pause button for player 7 ( pick 14 ), alter to 10 sec.
Skip Modes 4,5,6,7
Mode 8. Select B and save everything. Turn off the G8 timer.
To start a competition turn on the G8. It will start in Mode 8
and memory A should be selected. Press the large blue key. Select Mode
0.
Mode 0. Press the large blue key to start. When players have selected
their cards press the blue key again to start the next pick. With this
setup you do not have to wait until all the time has elapsed before starting
the next pick. After pick 7 is complete, select Mode 8 and then memory
B with the + key. Now press the blue key. Select Mode 0 and continue
as before with pick 8.
