DON GREEN'S ARTWORK SHINES AGAIN WITH UTHINI/MANCALA GAME

If you've seen Don Green's carving work on DREAM GREEN's Noble Celts circular chessboard pieces (or the life-size Rooks at their booth), then you know the caliber of work he puts into designing games. This talent shines again with DREAM GREEN's combination Uthini/Mancala. The Uthini (a gammon type game played with dice) playing board is a collection of African symbols, the meaning of which are listed on DREAM GREEN's website. The reverse side of this wooden board is the traditional and ancient game of Mancala. The board is housed in a cast frame made of recycled plastic which features beautifully carved African animals along the sides and scenes of Egypt and South Africa on either end. This is a gorgeous item which will sell in game stores, gift stores, zoos or museums equally well.

DREAM GREEN PRESENTED WITH STAR SUPPORTER AWARD BY FOUNDER OF BAGHDAD HOBBY CLUB

Weirton WV. Don and Sharon Green were presented with a Star Supporter Award by 2Lt Patrick Anderson of the Iraq Survey Group for Dream Green's generous support of U.S. soldiers through their donation of games to the Baghdad Hobby Club. The presentation was made during the HobbyTown USA Convention, held in July in Lincoln NE, where 2Lt Anderson was the honored guest.

The Baghdad Hobby Club was begun by 2LT Patrick Anderson, a member of the Iraq Survey Group - stationed in a former presidential palace in Baghdad. Anderson is a serious hobbyist who initially solicited a donation of hobby products
from Hobbytown USA magazine to help servicemen and women pass the time. The original shipment was 42 large boxes from various hobby product manufacturers valued at over $35,000. Anderson was amazed, and the club grew by leaps and bounds. They now have a permanent, locked club room and a great "checkout system" to ensure that the hobby products are being well used by the soldiers.

Shortly after the hobby products were received, a group of game players joined the club and asked for table space for their regular games. This small group was a popular new addition but there weren't enough games to go around. This was when GAMA (The Game Manufacturers of America), Dream Green and other game companies became involved. To date more than 30 game companies have donated their products to help support our troops in Iraq.

DREAM GREEN PRESENTED WITH THE DR. TOY 2003 OUTSTANDING TOY MANUFACTURER "RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE" AWARD AND NAPPA 2003 GOLD AND HONOR AWARDS.

Weirton WV: DREAM GREEN is very proud to announce that they have received a 2003 Dr. Toy Recognition of Excellence Award as an Outstanding Toy Manufacturer for producing high quality educational games. This award, presented by Stevanne Auerbach, PhD. (Dr. Toy), was given in conjunction with The Institute for Childhood Resources 10th Anniversary Celebration. DREAM GREEN's products have received several Dr. Toy Awards among them, Top 10 Children's Game (Tic Tac Chec) and Best Vacation Game (1-2-3 OY!)

TIC TAC CHEC, called "the perfect introduction to chess" by DR. TOY is a quick and easy way to teach a novice player the beginning moves and strategies of chess. Games take about five minutes to play so it's also perfect for school activities period or as an alternative to a full game of chess for harried parents of chess fanatic children.
